A Jedi's Weapon
I've been thinking about Lightsabers recently. Everyone knows them, everyone likes them, and I'm pretty sure everyone reading this wanted one when they were a kid. But lately, I've been thinking about what they represent.
Lightsabers are weapons, yes, but it's not their only function. They are useful tools, and not only in combat, but in everyday life to light fires, to cut down the branches of trees when your travelling through a forest, etc. But most of all, I like the symbolism and the meaning they have for the people of the galaxy.
Everyone can pick up a blaster and shoot. And although aiming is harder, it's nowhere near the level of difficulty that achieving mastery in lightsaber combat is. Lightsaber dueling has several forms, all of them unique and useful depending on the situation and the individual, which is amazing if you think about it hard enough.
Blasters are almost always used to kill. Sure, there are stun blasters, and Jedi do seem to be able to use them when the situation calls for it (Obi-Wan killing Grievous with a blaster in ROTS immediately comes to mind). But, if you want to defend yourself with a blaster, the only thing you can do is shoot back, aka aiming for the kill, kill them before they kill you. That's why Luke using a blaster is portrayed as a sign that he's not a Jedi yet, that's why Ezra using a blaster instead of reconstructing his lightsaber/blaster hybrid is used to signify a dangerous shift in his thinking.
Lightsabers are dangerous, yes, but the greatest danger doesn't come from your opponent attacking you before you can lift your weapon. Even Force-adepts have quicker ways to kill you if that's what they wanted to do (look at how often Vader actually uses his lightsaber in the OT, for example, the only person he kills with it is Obi-Wan and that's because Obi-Wan let himself be killed; very clearly, Vader prefers Force Choking, which is entirely fair).
The greatest danger of a lightsaber comes from your own blaster bolts being reflected right back at you. That is a good incentive to surrender and solve things in relative peace, instead of a firefight. Even if that's not enough to stop you, even if you shoot anyways, it gives you some pause, which a blaster can't do.
When it maims, it cauterizes the wound, which prevents you from dying of bloodloss and makes it easier to find medical treatment (think of Luke in ESB).
When it kills, it kills fast and immediately, if your opponent knows where to hit. (Think of Qui-Gon in TPM, where he gets to say his last words to Obi-Wan and doesn't seem to be in much pain).
Dexter says this, in Jedi Apprentice. What the lightsaber represents to the people. Hope, safety, there's someone to protect us now
unless you are the one opposing the Jedi, of course. No other weapon inspires so much hope and fear.
It's a weapon it takes a lot of time and effort to master. It's almost a self-imposed limitation.
It's a weapon with sacred value, unlike many others. It's a unique weapon connected to its user's soul. It's a weapon which is used to protect, to defend. It's a sword used as a shield.
It's the weapon of a Jedi.
A more elegant weapon, from a more civilized age.

Rey grunts against the force of his swing, her heels digging into and slipping against the snow covered ground beneath them. Red sparks against blue, creating a sort of purple mix of light that reflects off her face and his mask. It’s so reminiscent of their first conflict, of the fight in those snowy woods outside of Starkiller Base, where he had lost. Kylo won’t lose this time. He’s stronger, he’s better, he won’t be bested by his outlandish and fleeting desires to have someone who understood because he thought he had no one, to have someone to teach to prove to himself that this wasn’t for nothing.
It’s just them in this clearing, sparse, dying trees surrounding them, snow flying up around their legs and soaking into their clothing. Their hair is plastered to the edges of their cheeks, determination and fury burning in both of their eyes. Determination not to lose, determination to get out of this in one piece. Rey slashes at him, a downward swing that he blocks and jerks his lightsaber upwards, taking hers with it. She steps away to just narrowly avoid the middle swing he aims at her abdomen, going into the defensive again. She slips against the ground, her lightsaber unable to come up and protect her when he prepares another attack, leading her to resort to the strength of the Force. He feels an invisible power blocking his lightsaber, creating a weird effect with the plasma where it’s stuck in the air mid-swing, quivering beneath the Force. With her next breath, Rey rears up and tries an underhand slash, one which he dodges by darting backwards.
The dance is familiar, one Kylo’s practiced time and time again with different partners. It doesn’t scare him, doesn’t illicit the type of fear it does in Rey. She’s scared of losing, of what could happen to her if she does. She knows she’s at a natural disadvantage with him beating her out in almost every aspect, and yet it’s her courage that keeps her going. It’s something intangible that keeps her from bowing to his power—her defiance and spirit. He recognizes the spark in her eyes, because he’s seen it so many times in someone else’s. In someone who is so unbreakable it infuriated him, in someone who is his equal in every way, in someone who has been with him through just about everything.
Lightsabers burn gashes into trees, the wood smoking and burning orange, snow melts from the heat, only to be replaced by a flurry disturbed by the two of them. In the distance, there’s more fighting, more smoke, more blaster fire, more ship engines screaming. But here, it’s like they’re in their own isolated world away from it all. Rey misses a swing, her form falters, and he takes his chance. He uses the Force like the surge of a wave, overwhelming his opponent before she can react, slamming it against her body and sending her off balance. She yells, her back connecting violently with a tree, bringing her to her hands and knees in the white coldness of the snow. He advances with the easy, ruthless power of a predator as she struggles to get back to her feet. The opportunity is open before him, feeling like the sight of a clear sky after days of endless clouds, he only needs to-
Help.
The voice echoes through his mind, it makes his entire body freeze, like he’s unable to move even if he wanted to. It comes from far off in the trees, in a blood soaked clearing, where there’s only pain and anger and a desperate reach outwards. He heard her, her single word ringing louder than any other thought that may occupy his attention. His head turns ever so slightly, just a small tilt to the left, towards that direction. Rey is beginning to get up, she’s readying her saber, she’s prepared to fight again—but she’s studying him as well, curiosity sparking from the sudden change of his demeanor. She recognizes the way something has called him, something she couldn’t hear but could feel like a ripple across a still lake.
She’s alone, his Commander is alone, fighting to keep herself upright in a battle that’s quickly tipping in a direction that is not in her favor. He sees it in flashes across their bond, the imagery so vivid it’s like he’s there, living it through herself. There’s so many of them, all coming from between the trees with weapons brandished and with a determination to make this her resting ground. It was all planned out; get one of them alone, funnel them away from their soldiers and comrades so they can be overwhelmed and overrun, brought down by those they’d spent so long crushing beneath their heel. They knew he’d be too focused on Rey, blinded by his rage, so that left only one remaining. Her Fleet is nowhere to be found, instead fighting their own battles, working together in the skies with the methods they’d been taught. Her breath is forced from her lungs as she’s brought to the ground. He feels it, the way his chest is threatening to cave in on itself, the burning, phantom pain within his right arm and left side.
The scene disappears suddenly and is instead replaced by something else, something formed and created by the otherworldly powers of the Force. He recognizes the hazy look of a vision, a glimpse into one of many possible futures. He watches, powerless, as she’s pinned, grappling hopelessly against a woman with a blaster aimed right at her head. Kylo’s torn from the vision just as the blaster goes off, the sound of it echoing in his skull.
A sudden despair washes over him, a type he’s never felt before and isn’t sure what to do with. It has no weight behind it, being simply the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come depending on what decision he may make. But it’s enough to make him want to fall to his knees. He’s thrown back into his body, his feet feeling unsteady beneath him, the crackling of his lightsaber filling his ears instead of the screech of a blaster. His eyes lift to Rey, his mind reaches for the forest. Two choices, two paths, two outcomes. That’s what it always is, isn’t it? One or the other, he can’t have both.
His fists clench, the ridges of his lightsaber hilt bite into his palm, Rey’s expression hardens, her legs separating into a battle stance. There’s a voice in his head that hisses at him angrily, demanding he not make this choice, demanding that he do what he’s supposed to, what he’s meant to. Weak, useless, too much of your father in you. He listens to it for a moment, listens to its whispers that have plagued him for years.
But then that despair from before pierces him like a stake, yelling at him, grabbing onto him, begging him to listen just this once. There’s a dam that breaks, a cage that opens and frees the bird trapped inside, flying in a way it always dreamed of. He takes a stumbling step back, a final moment of hesitation, like giving himself a chance to reconsider. It’s futile; he made up his mind a long time ago.
And then Kylo runs. He runs in the opposite direction, he runs from Rey, he runs from his victory, he runs from every lesson beat into him, and he instead runs towards something else entirely. Towards his hope, his respite, his safety, his partner, his everything. He feels deep down in the most core parts of himself that he just crossed a line he’ll never be able to uncross—and he finds that he doesn’t want to. Snow tries to suck him down, decaying plants grab at the edges of his robes, that hissing voice inside his head screams, but he ignores it all. Nothing can stop him now. His breath burns in his lungs, icy and angry and desperate. He feels her so acutely, feels her pain and every emotion and thought within her head, and it’s this that makes him realize he doesn’t know what to do were that to suddenly disappear, snuffed out like a flame, leaving him feeling like he’s missing the second half of himself. He’s been too late for a lot of things; too late to make up for what he’s done, too late to make things different, too late to make the right choice.
Please don’t let him be too late for this.

“I thought you were the good guys.”
The blaster readjusts in the hands holding it, the barrel shifting upwards like it wants to give you a better view of where your demise is going to come from. The woman behind it keeps one eye shut, the other glaring at you as she snarls at your words. “We are the good guys.”
The face of this girl you used to know is now foreign to you, aged by the terrors of war and the fight for survival just like yours is. You can’t even remember her name. Your hand shakes desperately against her wrist, as if it’ll do anything to keep back the inevitable. Blood drips down into your left eye, your breathing rasps past your lips. Your other hand lays limp in the snow, a blaster shot cutting clean through your forearm and rendering it useless. Your lightsaber is somewhere nearby, knocked from your grasp at the same moment an elbow had connected with your jaw.
“You say that, but you all stoop to the same levels you criticize us for.” You spit at her, bloody teeth bared. “What do you think this is? A game to see who can come out on top with more innocence? Don’t kid yourselves.”
The girl’s eyes flare with anger so acute you can see the sparks. She brings her heavy-booted foot down on the blaster wound in your arm, putting as much pressure as possible. You choke out a scream as pain eats you alive, nausea blooming in your stomach. Blood spurts beneath the sole of her shoe, trickling down your charred skin and onto the snow below. “Quit talking like you fucking know anything. You’re vile. You get off on killing us. You deserve whatever fate waits for you in hell.” She jerks your hand off her wrist, gripping it and twisting sharply. Bones crack, more agony. Your mouth merely hangs open, sound unable to come out as your vision flashes white.
You feel as though your body is not yours, your pain cutting the ropes that kept the second part of you inside, allowing it to linger nearby as if this is all happening to someone else. Maybe it’s because you’re empty of your abilities, your muscles and blood no longer able to harbor the power of the Force. You’d used it all up a while ago when you were fighting a different group of rebels. Now you’re left so depleted you can’t even call your lightsaber to you, nor can you seem to keep your soul inside your own body. You look again at the blaster in her hands, you look into the black pit of the barrel. Is that what it’ll feel like? Black nothingness? You think so.
There’s nobody nearby to hear you, to come help—save—you. The Fleet is off fighting their battles in the skies, Kylo is occupied with Rey, you can’t call for backup. This was the rebels plan, after all. They wanted you to separate so you weren’t as strong, so that you could be taken down easier. You’ll admit that they were smart in taking the risk, it clearly worked in their favor. You should’ve been smarter, you should’ve noticed the signs and known not to follow the bait. You should’ve kept your head clear rather than letting the idea of this victory cloud your thoughts. You should’ve known to check your surroundings through the Force so you didn’t get overwhelmed by the rebels. You were stupid in the heat of the moment and you’re going to pay for it. You deserve it. You left BB-12 back in your ship so he didn’t get injured—even if he is a droid. You hope he’ll be okay.
You can’t keep your eyes open anymore, the action using too much strength that you don’t have. The cold of the snow is setting in, making your body numb. Your pain seems so far away when it’s like that. There’s a shift, the blaster clicking, and you know what’s going to happen. That’s fine. You couldn’t escape it forever.
You expect it to happen, for that shot of hot plasma to pierce through your heart and for all of this to come to an end. Your limbs relax in preparation—but it doesn’t come. Instead, there’s an explosion of noises all at once. Your ears feel like they’re submerged in water but you can still hear the screams in fear and anger and confusion, the stomping of feet as people try to run, and the screech of an unstable lightsaber as it swings through the air and through human flesh. The weight of that girl on your chest is lifted so rapidly that breath finds its way back into your lungs in a heaving gasp that has your entire body burning in agony.
It takes less than a minute before silence settles over the clearing. The smell of fresh death hits your nose. You can barely manage to open your eyes again, merely squinting up at Kylo standing over you. His black uniform makes him cut such an intimidating shape against the white backdrop of the snow and watery sky, the silver lining on his helmet reflecting it. His breathing is coming out as ragged static through his modifier, chest heaving. His lightsaber clicks off and he attaches it to his belt, calling yours to him as he does and putting it right next to his own.
It feels like a dream that he’s actually here, that he picks you up and cradles you so carefully so he doesn’t irritate your wounds. When he lifts you, you see the carnage he left. Every rebel lays dead on the ground, their bodies getting buried under the snow that’s begun to fall. Kylo’s warmth under your cheek almost doesn’t feel real
you should be dead. You deserve to be dead. When you sent out that final plea through the Force, you never expected him to answer.
“I’m sorry.” You croak. “I messed it up. You lost them because of me. You should’ve left me-“
“Don’t.” Kylo snaps. Your body jostles with his movements as he walks. “Don’t say that.“
Even with your fading strength, you can still feel him through the bond you share. He was terrified, he was terrified of the possibility of losing you. He was terrified of how willing you were to give up; he could sense those final moments. He’s so angry at himself for nearly letting it happen, for letting the rebels get the upper hand like this.
“We will find them again,” he promises you. He pauses, the silence filled with the crunch of snow beneath his boots. “The same could not be said if I lost you.”

Ok so everyone say thank you to @kirabasai for infecting me with the thought of Commander Fox getting zapped from starwars to naruto
Mitsuki and Fox clone solidarity,, I know Mitsuki only exists in Boruto but I don't give a shit so now not only is this a dimension travel au it's also a time travel
Somehow both Fox and Mitsuki end up in normal naruto canon, and work together bc uhhhh. Reasons, I dunno.
Fox gets zapped first to boruto, probably through spooky Palpatine sith shenanigans that don't actually matter. But he's only there for a second, with just enough time to knock into Mitsuki before he's zapped again into naruto— accidentally bringing Mitsuki with him.
Oops.
He actually feels kind of bad ab it. Or like, as bad about it as Fox can feel, bc he's Fox. But then he learns Mitsuki is a clone and it isn't just awww shit he accidentally kidnapped some kid but aww shit he accidentally kidnapped a Shiny
Head in his hands, he didn't ask for this,, he was a good boy,, he did his job so diligently,, he hid all the bodies and killed all the people Palpatine told him to,,, literally never done a thing wrong,,,,
Fox winds up with Palpatines lightsaber somehow, and over the course of the story it kind of becomes his. It freaks the absoloute FUCK out of literally any sensors, it is radiating legit evil over there and Fox is holding it like it's no big deal (bc he can't sense shit and is kind of numb to sith energy anyways)
Fox also has a blaster and I am definitely thinking ab the comedy of like. A gun in Naruto. It's a gun. It's a gun that moves fast as light. No one knows what a gun is and Fox is going to get SO much milage out of just having a weapon he can aim places without people realizing what it's ab to do (shoot you in the fucking face)
If someone were to pry into Fox's mind they'd actually have a really awful time of it, then probably walk face first into some nasty lingering sith mind fuckery stuff. Bad experience, 0/10, Fox is very happy w how it turned out but also has no idea why he got that effect. Either way, keep ur nasty ass mind fingers to yourself
Also, Fox speaks Basic. Not Japanese.
I'm thinking he has some sort of standard translator chip that allows him to communicate, but it sometimes translates the stuff he says weirdly. For example, from everyone else's perspective, he keeps introducing himself as Kitsune.
Which, for obvious reasons, doesn't really go over that well with a lot of people in Konoha when he gets there.
He's also visibly foreign and keeps being mistaken for being from Suna
So anyways, Fox and Mitsuki first fight bc like. Hey!! You fucking kidnapped?? Me???
Mitsuki gets the jump on him bc shinobi kid vs guy who doesn't know what a fucking shinobi even is
But then they're able to kinda talk it out and like, look neither of them know where they are so... truce?
Ok so now the fun part:
Fox has no fucking clue what's going on.
From his point of view, he's on... some kind of semi primitive planet. Doesn't remember how or why, but he's here now. So standard GAR procedures; find a way to contact home base. He has his normal gear on him, but no deep space radio, so he'll have to just... make one. Fuck, ok. If he can find the parts, it's doable. All command class clones are taught the basics of how, just like how they're taught how to assemble a blaster from scraps.
But from Mitsuki's point of view, they time traveled.
Mitsuki's POV is the only reason Fox knows there's smthn seriously up, but he's not exactly gonna go "aha! Dimension travel!" On top of it all
Now here's the thing. They're in early naruto canon, some time after wave arc.
Mitsuki only knows chunks of history, and only what has been taught to him second hand from school, Orochimaru, and very very occasional stories from Sasuke or the rest of team Taka
(I feel like Suigetsu especially would have fun telling all sorts of stories)
Not... all of these stories are completely accurate. And even if they are, they're often dumbed down to be easily understood by children— think that one Boruto episode where they put on some sort of silly play about the sanin (which was adorable btw and also fucking hilarious. Actual war criminals son learns about war crimes in class and everyone is just cool happy magic of friendship about it. Amazing.)
So now Fox is learning these fuckin third hand stories from Mitsuki, who literally learned it from the villains of many of the stories, and there is some SERIOUS biases going on
They go to Orochimaru for help.
Local scientist, parent of child (= dependable?) Best source of tech for potential radio + blaster repairs if needed. Fox can trade information to him if needed, it seems like a good choice.
It is not a good choice.
Orochimaru is like nearing the heights of his insanity, and I think it'd be real fun if he decides Sasuke is cool and all but a man from the stars??? A man literally made in a vat to be the perfect example of human physique???? Who's also resistant to many forms of corrosive chakra????
New perfect body alert.
Mitsuki is cute but Orochimaru isn't really in a parental sort of mind set, sorry <3
Mitsuki is going "Huh!! My parent did say they had a pretty severe midlife crisis..."
"Kid I think this is a bit more than just a midlife crisis."
Anyways, then they escape and continue to fuck around trying to build a deep space radio, which at this point is Fox's only hope home which also means it's Mitsuki's bc maybe the jedi can help with the whole uhh... time? Thing?
I'm thinking that after the thing w Orochimaru goes to shit, they're both a lot more wary of the fact that Mitsuki's information may not be the best.
After Oro in terms of figures of power and safety, almost everyone else is either a child, not born yet, or their current location is unknown— except for good old dependable ✚ rokudaime Kakashi ✚
Ok so picture this. You're Kakashi, sleeping peacefully in bed after a long day fucking with your students (who you're still very conflicted about having) You wake up to a presence in ur room and there's some fucking snake kid leaning over ur bed going "Hatake-sama—"
You freak out.
Knives may be thrown.
The snake kid has a very angry looking, foreign adult man body guard.
This is so fucking suspicious.
The snake kid says he's a time traveler, and that you are the eventual Rokudaime and also the only person he knows he can trust 100%
This is so fucking suspicious.
So obviously, Kakashi plays along then turns around and reports the fuck out of their asses to the Hokage.
Yeah, Fox doesn't really know what he expected. If some random kid showed up looming over HIS bed in the middle of the night, said he'd be the next chancellor and they know bc they're a time traveler and also pretty please help me build a deep space radio so I can go home— well, he wouldn't report them to Palpatine because not even he's that sadistic. But he'd probably toss them into the cells for a minute, if only because it was one of the only perks of his job
Or, well, for that analogy to work it wouldn't be a deep space radio, because he was used to space travel. It'd have to be something wilder— like an interdimensional radio. Haha, good one. Like that existed. God, imaging having to try and make one of those, that'd be insane. Fox would just kill himself at that point. Good thing he doesn't have to, right? Right?
Anyways mid adventure, they bump into Jiraiya who is fucking horrified to recognize Orochimaru's way of smiling in Mitsuki and gaslights himself into thinking he HAS to be wrong.
I think its Jiraiya who finally helps them out

Do you guys remember my Fan-kai Sailor Rollecnahc IV? If not, you can check this old post I made about her! But the summary is that a friend and fellow artist JoJo/SquishyBlooper made a Fan-kai called 4Reel, and I made a Boss Yo-kai based on her! (like how Captain Thunder is based on Usapyon for example)
Oh? Why am I mentioning her? Because I finally redrew her! (And slightly redesigned her hehe)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First, this time the anatomy is (hopefully) no longer a pain to look at. I'd like to think I've improved a lot since the last time I drew her hehe.
And now, for her redesign:
As you can see, her suit slightly changed, her face have slightly different features and she has 2 new weapons!
Her face and suit are based on this drawing JoJo made that I already showed last time (again, I thank her for making it, I love it so much ❀) although I kept the "puffy" skirt and also gave her boots rocket thrusters! I wanted her to have them like Cap. Thunder and Pink Emp. but in a different way, so I thought giving it to her boots was the best option :) (which btw, you may notice the boots now reach her knees but that was always my intention, it's just that I couldn't make it look properly in the og drawing 💔💔💔)
Tumblr media
As for her 2 new weapons (btw her old Bazooka is still there, it's just a bit hard to see since I didn't draw her backside this time) first let's talk about the most basic one.
Her wrist blaster (I haven't given the weapons proper names yet sorry) is just a basic hand cannon. I'm not sure if I should make it shoot lasers or rockets or whatever, but it's just a reliable basic long range secondary I wanted to give her to not rely on her Bazooka (since that one is mainly for her Soultimate).
And as for the laster blade she has, first let me show you this drawing another friend made for her: Kosmo! They liked my Fan-kai and decided to make this really amazing B medal (which I love and I apologise for not showing it in the last post 🙏🙏🙏)
Tumblr media
Aside from the medal looking sick asf, Kosmo gave her an interesting item: a lightsaber. And while giving her that would be sick because of her Star Wars theme, I personally thought it'd be a bit too on the nose so I decided to give her something similar but unique! And although it does look very similar to the one Ginga Emperor USApyon has, it's actually mainly inspired from... *inhales* a character from Plants vs Zombies GW2 called Z7 Imp who has an ability called Z7 Mech which is a mecha suit with an ability called Zomni Blade where it slashes the enemies with a laser blade which was a crossover character between another EA game called Mass Effect and is a reference to N7. Ok ok, no more yapping I promise hehe.
And on one last note, yes her pose is based on the same one that Arachnus/Arachnia/Arachnevil have.
Tumblr media
However bias aside, the reason I picked this is because it makes them look like they're hovering, and since Rollecnahc has rocket thrusters, I thought it was the perfect pose for her hehe.
And that's all! Before I forget, thanks to Yo-kai Benja for letting me use that Shady medal I used for her nametag^^. Aside from that, I hope you like this funny tall buff alien woman I made :) I do have some other Fan-kai I wanna show, so if you like Rollecnahc then I'll show the others as well :)

I finally finished the last command
and it was a romp (spoilers)
Chewie spends the whole book on the edge of a nervous breakdown but buddy you very much did that to yourself. Sure, you swear a life debt to a guy who turns out to be One of the People in the Galaxy That Things Just Keep Happening To. Bad luck, bound to happen sometimes. But then you decide that life debt extends to his wife knowing FULL WELL that Even More Things Just Keep Happening to HER, and then they go and have TWINS? That’s on you, bud.
Mara “I still do want revenge on Luke Skywalker yes definitely now hold that thought I need to go risk my life to save Leia and the twins” Jade. Mara you’re embarrassing yourself.
Actual conversation:
Leia: Thanks again for saving my life. Mara: Don’t thank me until after I’ve killed Luke which I still absolutely want to do. Leia: So uhhh why’d you do it? Mara: I’m just opposed to kidnapping. Leia: Were you kidnapped? Mara: I dOn’T wAnT tO tAlK aBoUt iT yes. Leia: ... Mara: YOU THINK THIS IS ABOUT MY TROUBLED PAST?? Leia:
 Mara: BECAUSE IT’S NOT Leia:
Mara: Anyway here’s the information only I can provide that will turn the tide of the war. It’s free. Friends and family discount. Leia: Thanks. Mara: I’M STILL GOING TO KILL YOUR BROTHER Leia: That’s nice, dear.
MY KINGDOM FOR GHENT. His dad boss forgets to pick him up from AV Club so he spends two months wandering unrestricted through the capital building and then cracks Enigma because he’s bored
A TWELVE-DAY Character Bonding Hiking Trip??!? Zahn’s really outdone himself this time
WAIT THIS WHOLE TIME MARA DIDN’T KNOW LUKE AND VADER ARE RELATED?? Omigod that’s HILARIOUS. I mean, yeah, I guess it just never came up? And she didn’t watch the OT movies? That’s very funny to me for some reason. I definitely assumed she’d gotten that memo
Oh man it really feels like I should have seen that reveal coming and I absolutely did not. Gawd I love the 90s. Wowowowowowow. Chef’s kiss. I have so many questions about the Bespin janitorial system
“LUUKE” I’m dying
Admiral “It appears to be a trap.” Akbar
We interrupt your regularly scheduled Good vs. Evil Star Wars content to bring you “the two Evil factions getting in each other’s way vs the two Good factions getting in each other’s way until they all realize we’ve hit the end of the book and just start attacking everything indiscriminately”
The Climactic Battle Scene:
Luke: Fighting his clone! Han: Pew pew pew pew! Mara: Psychic defense! Psychic attack! Leia: Dual wielding blaster and lightsaber! Karrde: In the back, petting his doggos and talking on his phone I was legit worried about his safety in this book. But he's not dumb; he knows he doesn't have enough plot armor to take on the Big Bad. He is simply the best there is
Wedge / Aves is the rarepair I didn’t know I needed
RUKH!!
Oh thank God the doggos are okay
So as far as I can tell Thrawn made one mistake that wasn’t just bad luck and it was doing a shit job of getting Mara out of the way. The dude really should have had MORE of his enemies killed
Thesis statement: Aww Themb! <3
Now I just need to watch someone explain this series to Ep9-era Palpatine. Preferably in the style of Worthikids.

(For you to talk about anything part you've been dying to talk about on your fanfics 😄)
I’ve been hoarding my director’s cut asks, saving 'em up for a cold winter day like some sort of squirrel with a juicy uh, nut, and now it is time.
In my fics, I gave Sifo-Dyas Soresu as his lightsaber form because I love writing Sifo-Dyas and Dooku as two different halves: Cosmic Force and Living Force, Light side and Dark side. One of them always looking forward, one of them always looking back.
I’ve written much more extensive posts about the forms before, but to quickly summarize, the two forms, II and III respectively, are very much in conversation. Makashi is all attack, whereas Soresu is all defense. Makashi was invented for combat against foes armed with a lightsaber (and interestingly, therefore prioritizes disarming moves against all others - fascinating commentary that dark Jedi or Sith seemed to have been expected to survive their defeat in a duel). Soresu corrects the problem of Makashi’s unsuitability to handle the modern problems of the blaster age, as well as its entire lack of defense. For all of Makashi’s beauty and elegance, it’s a delicate form if you don't have Dooku's physical size and strength to counter that.
Anyway, I really liked imagining Dooku and Sifo-Dyas realizing their forms were essentially two halves, attack and defend. And because they have such a shared chaos energy, kind of just shoving them together in combat to see what would happen. I imagine they've practiced together so many times over the years that they really have the routine down. And then I wrote it for their battle vs. the pirates in Milk Run:
Sifo-Dyas wasn’t just providing defensive cover for Dooku, he was Dooku’s entire defense. Dooku didn’t parry a single bolt, but moved like a blue wall of disintegration through the nearest pirates, severed weapons littering his wake. Sifo-Dyas worked in the very negative space of his body, up against Dooku one moment, then underneath his swing, moving in and out of the Makashi sweeps and turns like moving, living armor. The two fought as a single warrior. It was a trust fall, one with bright death at the end of it if either of them made a single error.
It might have been terrifying to watch, except that Sifo-Dyas’s control of Soresu was perfect: a net of light that caught everything they hurled at Dooku and turned it to harmless air. And Dooku’s Makashi
Qui-Gon couldn’t help the joy at seeing him use it again – use it for real, not in play, or in the cautious training bouts during his injury, when the movements were edged with pain and uncertainty. This was pure Makashi: a poem with hot teeth.

so i think we in asoiaf fandom should all be agreed that barristan selmy is the westerosi obi-wan kenobi as an exiled knight troubled by past regrets and playing fast and loose with technical truths while sporting a white beard and using an alias barely any different from his actual name. but that's not the only grrm creation with a corresponding george lucas creation....
when maester aemon tells sam of the baby switch only after sam can't understand why gilly is still crying by saying jon's heart just hardened when sam made him lc, as if he had nothing to do with it, he gives me similar vibes to yoda's response when luke asked him if vader was truly his father, being all "rest i need now" trying to use his dying to escape the hard questions. then when yoda finally answers luke he quickly changes the subject to luke's fault in fighting vader before he was ready. i mean i understand why aemon didn't crush sam further by revealing his part in the baby swap plan and all the kill the boy shit, esp when they were all each other had by then. so i guess he can't really be blamed for that, but it is still misleading his protege and shifting blame in a pretty big way. also yoda and aemon are both the oldest naturally living characters in their stories and seen as the wisest too.
then ofc there's jaime lannister as a r-rated luke skywalker, a blond knight actually fucking his sister while knowing they're siblings, son of an evil lord, wearing white when we first meet him, seen as too impatient and hungry for adventure, and then losing his swordhand through a mistake of his father's and having to contend with a beast in a pit when trying to rescue a friend. there's also some of han solo in coming back just in the nick of time for the big rescue after first leaving his traveling companion behind for his own ends, with all that character growth to find something to believe in. but i think jaime would have serious disdain for han's stance that a lightsaber is no match for a good blaster. that's just the sw version of crossbows vs. swords, isn't it?
as for anakin/vader, there are plenty of woobies who could be finding their redemption, but when it comes to also being an effective and fearsome villain, i think only sandor "the hound" clegane really qualifies. (as opposed to jaime repeatedly failing to kill children or theon getting no respect as an ironman or as reek) plus, like anakin, sandor has terrible burn scars, a distinctive and singular helmet later stolen from his grave, wants revenge on the brother who burned him up, and he cries a lot.
darkstar is obviously the jar jar binks of westeros, the character whose appeal was greatly overestimated by the george who created him while most of the fandom simply finds him ridiculous and annoying.
then there's ned stark, a leader who always dresses their best to impress for the occasion, who knows how to govern his home in the outskirts but is out of his depth as a politician in the big city where his ideals are out of place in a corrupt court, trying to prevent a civil war which has already been planned behind everyone's backs for years, and is ever forgiving of a man all too willing to murder children. that's padme, baby.

Mandalorian's playing a game in the covert on Nevarro. Concept Art by Anton Grandert. Image from StarWars.Com
NOTE: This is a retelling of an existing story from my collection of Mandalorian Tales. It has been edited and updated to reflect some Canon specific changes (Djarin vs. Din as the Mandalorian's first name) as well as minor story edits. Enjoy.
Grogu makes a friend Part 1 / At the Cin Vhetin
The tavern was quiet. Almost too quiet given the time of day. The Mandalorian and his foundling didn’t like it. They were waiting for Ahsoka Tano to meet them and it was well past the time for her to be there. Din motioned to the server to come over. He would just pay the tab and leave. Obviously something had gone sideways.
The server came over and the Mandalorian could swear they had met before, but he couldn’t recall where. You rarely saw a human female with such strange scars. They were almost like tattoos, but they didn’t look like they had been made purposefully. Whatever accident had produced them, it must have been painful.
“Take Grogu out the back way, Mandalorian.”
The woman spoke quietly as she slipped a light saber and a metal baton out of her voluminous robes and readied herself for an unseen assailant.
“Who are you?”
Din Djarin was on his feet and Grogu had already hopped into his carry bag.
“A friend. Grogu, make him leave.”
The human female smiled at them briefly and then walked toward the tavern’s entryway.
Djarin looked around and saw that the few other patrons had already disappeared as well as the Iktotchi bartender. What did they know that he hadn’t noticed?
Grogu began to flood the bounty hunter’s mind with images of the back rooms of the bar, showing him a safe way for them to leave. Djarin resisted the urge to swat those images away and then considered his options. Given the fact that other people had already abandoned the place, he decided that discretion was appropriate. He and Grogu reached the partially hidden door to the back rooms just as a small flood of battle droids tried to enter the tavern.
The human woman waited until the doorway was jammed with the droids and ignited her lightsaber. The Mandalorian had never seen anything like it. Most light sabers were a single uniform color in his experience, limited though that was. This one was iridescent and seemed to shift colors at the holder’s whim. The battle droids took the presence of the light saber to be a threat and began to fire their blasters at the wielder.
He couldn’t help himself. He watched with fascination as she deflected each blast back into the droids. Their configuration at the door hampered them considerably and she was slicing them into a pile of smoking parts before they had even managed to get all the way into the building. Who was she?
“I told you to take Grogu out of here. Your window of escape to your ship is closing Mandalorian! I can deal with this, now go!”
This time she emphasized her words by directing the next blaster bolt, from a second wave of droids, to the floor by his foot.
Djarin finally turned and he and Grogu left the tavern. He had no idea who their benefactor was and wondered if he’d ever learn her name. It certainly wasn’t Ahsoka Tano.
As he wound his way out of the maze of alley behind the Cin V’hetin, Djarin had a few questions for his foundling, who was quiet but still looking smug about something.
“Grogu, do you know her? That woman at the tavern?”
Grogu coo’d and burbled a response.
“I see. You know of her. What ‘of’ her do you know?”
This really wasn’t the moment for Grogu to hold his peace. Usually he’d be lecturing Djarin about everything he’d told the Mandalorian already but knew his dad had ignored it.
Instead, Grogu began to explain everything, just as they came to halt at a roadway they would have to cross. It provided no cover and they could both hear the sounds of the fight they had just escaped.
“She’s not a Jedi? That’s the important part? She’s a friend of Ahsoka’s. Okay. That’s good to know. What else do you know?”
Grogu sighed.
“What do you mean you can’t tell me? I think I should know considering the circumstances.”
Djarin peered down the road from the side of the building and saw nothing remarkable. The sound of the fighting had stopped. He hoped that was a good sign and decided to risk crossing the roadway.
Grogu continued his modified lecture.
“Brethren? Great, another cult.” The Mandalorian trotted across the road, acutely aware of how exposed he and Grogu really were. They made it across without incident and continued down the path to the landing zone and their ship.
They were almost at the entryway when a bright red blaster bolt blazed through the air and connected with the Mandalorian’s partially protected right knee. He grunted at the pain, but didn’t falter, pulling his sidearm as he looked for his assailant and continued to make his way into the landing area.
What he saw was the human female from the tavern physically lift and throw his attacker presumably, still brandishing a blaster, onto the roadway he just crossed. With a swift strike, using a baton, the blaster was shattered as was the hand that had held it. Djarin saw her look over at them just after that occurred and without hesitation she ran over to join him and Grogu.
“I thought I told you to get to your ship.”
The woman snapped as she took a look at the Mandalorian’s injury. To Djarin’s surprise she didn’t even seem winded from her activities.
She chuckled, as if she had heard his thoughts.
“Lucky for you I like Mandalorians, Din Djarin. Come on. I will heal you on the ship.”
She put an arm around his waist and helped him hobble through the dock and to the spot that his ship should have occupied. Grogu babbled at her the whole way.
“Dank Farrik!”
“I thought this might happen. Come on. My ship is over here.”
She turned and nodded toward another path.
“Who are you?”
Din Djarin didn’t believe in this kind of luck and he certainly didn’t believe it could hold out any longer. He refused to move.
“Grogu, you could have told him my name.”
She spoke to the small foundling, who hadn’t cared for the Mandalorian’s tone of voice at all.
“I am called Mira Ost here. But my name is Ta’lan Bet. Ahsoka Tano asked me to keep an eye on you two. You’ve had a busy day today.”
She said as she turned to face him better. She held his gaze and that was unusual in his experience. Most people didn’t like being stared at by any Mandalorian, let alone one that was injured and angry.
Then he considered her words for a moment. Andui was not a large city, but it was the largest city on Takodana. Maybe he had seen her somewhere else that day?
“Where is Ahsoka Tano? I came here to meet her.”
Djarin had to ask the obvious question. He was not happy about this at all, no matter how content Grogu seemed.
“She was detained. And no, I do not know where she is. She contacted me and asked for a favor and I agreed. It is that simple. Now, if you’ll walk with me, I will take you to my ship and heal that wound.”
He looked at the woman again and tried to gage whether or not she could be trusted. This might just be a trick. But how would Grogu know who she was unless she was able to connect to him through the Force? He sighed.
“Fine. Let’s make it quick.”
He relented.
“As you wish.”
She set a reasonable pace and was silent, which he considered a blessing considering how much grief Grogu was now giving him.
When they reached a YT-1300 light freighter she stopped and turned her attention to both of them.
“Welcome to the Bard. We should be safe enough on her while I work out what happened to draw so much attention to the two of you. And heal you of course.”
The Mandalorian watched a ramp lower and saw two forms exit the ship. One was an astro-mech. The other was an HK series assassin droid. What! He reached for his side arm, but felt her hand on his before he could complete the motion.
“That is HK. It does not fulfill its original programming. It’s my co-pilot for this vessel. It will do nothing to harm you, unless you think being called a ‘meat bag’ is harm. We never worked out how to fix that. Right this way.”

We finally finished episode 2 of pod of rebellion (we're so behind) and I'm so disappointed that in the entire lightsabers vs jetpacks debate, there was not a single mention of slugthrowers??? Not even when Taylor was like "well if you shoot at someone with a blaster it gets deflected even if you have a jetpack and the lightsaber is unharmed"??? Not even in the fact check???

I don't often think about how I would have wanted the Star Wars sequels to play out, because I am firmly a "lightsabers cool" level fan and happy about it.
But I wanted one specific thing from the third movie. Because I am easy and a sap, and it appeals so dearly to me. Simple setup: Kylo Ren has alienated every single being in the galaxy, removing all desire for anyone to help him by just sinking further and further into rage -- Rey was the last person left willing to try, and will 100% shoot him in the head if she sees him. It's a running gag, it never works, but she always hopes it will and gives her and Finn a moment to throw the lightsaber back and forth because they're multiclass heroes.
No Palpatine stuff, just Kylo Ren actively digging the hole deeper and taking the whole galaxy down with him while the heroes do Hero Stuff and look amazing doing it.
(Because this is a daydream, throw in Leia flashbacks of every moment she ever had in Darth Vader's presence, her revulsion at being his child and her joy at having a twin, and the complicated quagmire of emotion that is her brother choosing to find good in a monster, and wondering if her refusal to entertain the thought with Vader is why her son won't come back to her. No one person is worth another Alderaan. She loves him and loves him and loves him, but. She dreams of killing Vader and the face behind the mask is never Anakin Skywalker's.)
Explosions, battles, blaster fire making cool pew pew noises, epic dual-fighting moments with Finn and Rey vs. Kylo Ren -- whatever, take your backdrop and run with it, mostly.
All I wanted from Kylo Ren's plot was for his uncle to come back and haunt him with love until it took. No one has any patience for him anymore. Except this one ghost who sits with him after he's destroyed his fourth console that day and calls him Kid.
In the end, Luke brings his nephew back.
(What does this do for the rest of the movie's plot? idk idc, let Ben wander off to Naboo or something, all of the Hero Cast under the impression that he's dead and they're quite unconcerned about it. He stares out at it all in the spot where his grandparents wed, his uncle at his side. Breathes. Finishes recording a very awkward sign-off. There is a Windows 98 screen transition over to Leia, rolling her eyes and leaving one of the many restoration meetings she's had this week to figuratively slam the door of her quarters shut. She sits back in a chair, disables several security protocols, opens an unmarked case and plugs something into her comlink. "Greetings, Mother," a stilted voice begins. The camera angle changes, and Luke sits behind her, watching. She takes a moment to look back. She doesn't say it out loud, because everyone in the building practically through a party over Kylo Ren's death and she doesn't blame them, but she mouths, "Thank you," as Ben's apology gets stiffer and more rambly and worse in the background. She falls asleep in her chair and doesn't dream. Roll credits.)

I'm amused that the ambush on Sabine is proving Obi-Wan's point about lightsabers vs. blasters.
She could control the fight more with the lightsaber because she's got a wider area to move around. Also, again, I love how Star Wars Ahsoka is wearing its influences on its sleeve, from Lord of the Rings to Dune and back to its roots, the Samurai movie.
Sabine even earned a poncho and a dog-rat-horse creature out of it.
Multiclassing into Jedi is doing well for her ability scores.

Lightsaber Colors
They say, canonically, that the color doesn't matter. Unless it's Red.
This is because the magic crystals can "bleed". Why is this? I don't know honestly; the techno-magic in [Star Wars] has always been confused as to whether it's force magic, or techno-babble. Thanks George Lucas.
A first time viewer of [star war] would assume that a light saber only works because of the force magic we've heard so much about. Until we learn that it's not much different than the blasters in the series.
The only reason Jedi's use it and other people don't is because of their [force magic]. See, because of their attunement with the force; they're less likely to injure themselves with a violently spinning laser beam.
Which is why Jedi use the weapon to begin with. Because it's extremely dangerous and normies can't use it effectively without cutting their fingies.
What this potentially means is that a lightsaber crystal can potentially be used in a standard blaster and vice versa. But there's no canonical description of the blaster disassembly like there is for the lightsaber.
But here's the thing. The color *is* affected by the force. Like it's a force-sensitive-mood-ring.
So when we see Red hues; and I'm including Magenta, Purple, and Orange, (and maybe even yellow cuz R+G)--Its because the crystal is "Bleeding" from the negative force energy.
The most famous purple lightsaber wielded by Mace Windu is the primary example of this. The Council itself was promoting a war. It was; by definition--corrupt. They had all lost their way.
While preaching peace and unity, they lead armies to commit unspeakable crimes.
Another example of this, that *might* be a bug in the graphics, and it might be real is Darth Vader's lightsaber at the end of [Return of the Jedi]. As he attacks the Sidius; his lightsaber is less red and more pinkish.
As if being reunited with his son began healing the hole left by PadmĂš, and thus healing the bleeding crystal.
While it is also Canon that different "Classes" of Jedi get different crystals; Councelors (diplomats) get green, Defenders (Guardians) get Blue, and Sentinels(Offensive) get yellow; this is usually because of some other flaw in the crystal itself.
With white being a pure color, and every color that isn't red being some sort of mineral deposit that shifts the color.
Like how Quartz gets its rainbow of colors.
Now, obviously it was originally just a silly indicator of Good vs Bad, Blue is Good, Red is evil. But the additional colors, indicating the character's alignment whenever they wield the lightsaber changed all that.
And so we get this weird interpretation and understanding of this "Mystical" weapon. That is mostly technology, but it's also magic, but *more* affected by dark magic.
Which is silly...
For audience reasons; if it's magic, then make it magic. If it's technology, then make it technology. But this weird in-between ? It's just silly.

my friend, my dear,, pls,,, rebels ask game numbers 1-30 👁👁 (and course feel free to break into chunks or anything I just NEED TO KNOW- I'm genuinely so interested in your thoughts)
This is my absolute favourite way of receiving an ask ♄♄♄ Thank you for that!!!
I already answered 1 and 28 right here, 16 and 27 right here and 29 right here
This is gonna be a lot so let's get started
2. Which episode did you not like at first but grew on you after one or more rewatches?
I don't think I disliked any episode
3. How do you feel about the Ahsoka show being live-action Rebels season 5?
I have a complicated relationship with live-actions and I'd personally prefer they just make animated Rebels season 5 xd and I'm kinda scared they're gonna destroy the Rebels characters in that or totally disregard the show because some fans didn't watch it so they feel they can (and that they totally ignore important characters like Zeb and Kallus), I'm also too much behind all newer Star Wars shows so I don't really feel much about Ahsoka show yet, at least not til I catch up on the rest
4. Who is your favourite one-off character on the show?
Hm Zare Leonis I think, I liked the kiddo and kinda expected more of him later but he never reappeared
5. If you could change one (non-death-related) plot point in the show, what would you change?
Off a hard one, non-death-related? I guess I'd want to see more of Kallus in season 4 and more of the clones in general
6. What are your two favourite ships from the show (canon or not)?
KALLUZEB AND KANERA
7. Who is one character you feel isn't appreciated enough by the fandom?
I stay in my safe corner of Kallus stans, but I'd say he is overlooked sometimes. He and Chopper, who is like, one of the most hilarious character in the entirety of Star Wars
8. If you couldn've added an episode/story arc to the show, what would it be?
Kallus' backstory for sure, bonus points if it's an angsty one
9. Obligatory "who's your favourite member of the crew?" question
Hard tie between all of them, thank you (read: all)
10. Aside from season 4 episode 10, which episode made you cry the most?
When in the end of Heroes of Mandalore: Part 1 Sabine's weapon gets used on her people and she thinks it killed her family, I WAS HEARTBROKEN
11. What is one joke/moment from the show that always makes you laugh?
"We stole a TIE fighter"
"You WHAT?!"
Never fails.
12. Which design of Sabine's hair and armour is your favourite?
Hair: white and violet, I adore it
Armour: season 3
13. Chopper vs Palpatine- who's making it out alive?
Ideally? Chopper. Realistically? Chopper.
14. What is your favourite moment of the crew being a family?
When Zeb admits to betting Chopper in Sabacc and Hera lectures him like a mom and then scolds Kanan like an angry wife (in Polish she literally says "what kind of example are you setting?")
15. What is your favourite Kanera moment?
Everytime Hera calls him "Love" ♄ (in Polish- "Sun"☀)
17. What is your opinion on the World Between Worlds?
I don't know honestly, but it's interesting
18. Where do you think Ezra has been all this time?
Out in the Unknown Regions with Thrawn, camping and bonding
19. What is one of your favourite Kanan moments?
When he acts like a drunk, embarrassing dad
20. What is one of your favourite Hera moments?
All, I love that woman (you should too)
21. What is one of your favourite Chopper moments?
Whenever he wrecks havoc, so like 98% of the time
22. What is one of your favourite Zeb moments?
That one part where after the battle over Atollon they get Kallus' coordinates and he looks so concerned abd scared for Kal ♄
23. What is one of your favourite Sabine moments?
Her training with the darksaber
24. What is one of your favourite Ezra moments?
That part when he discovers he is Force Sensitive and saves Zeb's life
25. Which of Ezra's two lightsabers would you rather have?
First one, the original with a built in blaster
26. Would you rather be stuck in an elevator with AP-5 or Lieutenant Lyste?
Bold of you to assume I'd step into an elevator and besides the point I do like AP-5 unironically and would willingly spend time with him
30. Most under-rated episode?
The Future of the Force (S2E10)

Ideas for a Star Wars x Dune Fanfic
Basic Premise: Paul is both the Kwisatz Haderach and the Chosen One. Paul is younger here. Around 12 Years Old. With a 10 year jump for his training as a Jedi. Not sure how he should interact with Padme honestly.
After Escaping the Trade Federation, a Naboo Starship carrying the Queen, her Retinue, and two Jedi have found themselves doing an emergency landing on a planet inside the Corrino Empire. A Desert planet named Arrakis.
Currently, the planet itself has been transferred to the hands of the honorable Duke Leto Atreides. While the Queen of Naboo is afforded the protection of the Duke, the Jedi are regarded with more suspicion due to the presence of the Lady Jessica. While undergoing the repairs of the Naboo Starship, the Harkonnens attack. With the Duke tasking Jedi Master and Apprentice Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-wan Kenobi with the protection of his family.
During this, Paul and Jessica escape into the Desert, being rescued by the Fremen. Paul still gets his Visions of the Future, and the possible Jihad he will lead. Using the Force, Qui-Gon finds Sietch Tabr and the powers of Paul which are beginning to Awaken. Finding a possible way out of his doomed Fate, Paul joins the Jedi. His mother, more distrustful of the Jedi, and finding that she can avenge her House and Husband better by influencing the Fremen.
As Paul is about to leave, Darth Maul attacks the Jedi, stealthily tracking them since Naboo. They get away, with Paul being brought back to Coruscant. Events of Episode 1 happen.
Lore Ideas:
All Bene Gesserit are Force Sensitive, at least as much as your average Jedi. So are your Guild Navigators, and Mentats, albeit to a lesser extent.
Duncan and Gurney would definitely have been a Jedi Knights in another Life.
The Spice Melange opens you up much much more to the Force.
Blasters and Lightsabers can overwhelm a Holtzman Shield, but due to the differences in methods (Super Heated Gasses vs Continuous Wave Lasers) it doesn't actually trigger the Nuclear blast. This allows melee combatants to parry lightsabers with barehands or swords.

đŸ€č: Plot points I’m juggling
Having Morgan interact with Bates in 1x19. I’d love to, but
it’s gonna be a bit tricky to fit her in (because I wanna have them briefly interact before Bates assaults Caitlin later in the episode—Morgan is intentionally kept in the dark about that, and for good reason). Still, I’ll do my best! After all, the Barry & Morgan angst in that situation practically writes itself (and beyond that...it leads into another plot point I hope to implement later).
Having Morgan be part of the Jesse rescue mission vs keeping her away from Team Flash until 2x16 (the clubbing/Trajectory episode). She’ll be involved in that episode either way, but
whether I want her as part of the E2 rescue mission is smth I’m still debating.
Trying to figure out wtf to do about Lucy and Luke’s lightsaber situation 😅 currently, they’re sharing one (and a blaster, for when one of them is using the lightsaber), mostly because there isn’t a reason for them to have a second one yet. They weren’t close enough to Obi-Wan to grab his when he died (they probably would’ve also died if they were close enough for that tbh). And even post-ESB
Luke gets a new one, but at the cost of losing the one he already has. So
I’m gonna have to be a little creative there.
đŸ€: Unpublished dialogue
Spitballing for the s3 arc (yeah yeah, it's a while from now, but obsessing over Savitar goes hand-in-hand with thinking about s3):
As Morgan approached, he caught sight of her and smiled, managing to look halfway sheepish. "Hey, Mo. Sorry to ambush you." "What do you want?" She crossed her arms. "I was hoping we could
talk about earlier." He wrung his hands as he spoke, though his steady gaze never wavered from hers. "Could you do your hotheaded big brother a favor and hear him out?" She pursed her lips and walked closer to the car, and he moved aside as she opened the door to the driver's side. "Here I thought you didn't like being a passenger." He smiled slightly. “A sacrifice I’m willing to make. It's more important we get to talk
without possibly being interrupted."

Queer Star Wars Characters (Round 1): General Bracket Match 49
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moran | Identity: mlm | Media: Jedi Survivor
Moran is one of the residents of Rambler’s Reach Outpost, which Cal can have many optional conversations with. He is available from the start of the game, where he sits at the bar, sadly drinking his days away. He is initially rude to Cal, seeing his attempts at rebellion as foolishness. As Cal talks to him more, he reveals more of his past and becomes better inclined to the player. He reveals that he used to be a Republic tax collector, a position he used to cover for a smuggling side business. There he met a man named Dreyo and fell in love with him. When the Empire came to power, Dreyo wanted to leave the business, and when Moran wouldn’t join him, he left on his own. Moran was eventually caught, and he had to flee to Koboh. There he became a fixture in Pyloon’s Saloon, with Greez even allowing him to store his stuff in the back. Cal eventually convinces him to send a message to Dreyo, letting him know where he is. Moran does so, grumbling all the way and letting Cal know that there’s a good chance the message won’t be received. However the prospect of reuniting with Dreyo makes him marginally more optimistic and kinder to Turgle.
Klerin Chekkat | Identity: wlw | Media: The High Republic Rising Storm
Klerin Chekkat was a young woman of the germaphobic Kuranu species. She was the daughter of the dominion inventor Mantessa, who was pretending to be the inventor of Klerin’s own work- the four-seven nullifier, which could be calibrated to disrupt certain energy weapons- such as lightsabers or blasters. Mantessa hired the former Jedi Ty Yorrick to be their bodyguard when they traveled to the Republic Fair to sell her daughter’s invention. On the way there, Klerin shyly flirted with Ty. Due to her shyness and sheltered life, she came off as younger than she actually was, which was around twenty.
The four-seven nullifier turned out to be made of the illegal radioactive material recainium. Mantessa’s buyer had Ty and Mantessa arrested, but the two escaped when the Nihil attacked the Republic Fair. Mantessa reunited with her daughter, showing rare affection when they hugged. As they tried to reach their ship, Mantessa was killed by an escaped hragscythe. She was saved by Ty and Elazar Mann.
After the attack, Ty met Klerin by her destroyed ship. Ty was planning to help her get off planet when Klerin revealed that the Nihil had likely obtained her plans for the nullifier when they attacked her ship. Wanting to help out and keep the Nihil from using her invention, she allowed herself to be taken as a hostage by an escaping Nihil to lead the Jedi to their stronghold. Along with Lourna Dee, she attempted to sell an alternate prototype of the nullifier which she carried as a bracelet. She did so with a confidence and cold pragmatism that was completely contrary to all previous behavior. During the battle, she was saved from the Nihil by Elazar and Indeera. It is unclear which persona is real and how the sudden death of her mother may have affected her personality.
